UNILAG, IOD Nigeria, collaborates to develop students future
The University of Lagos (UNILAG) has collaborated with the Institute of Directors (IoD) Nigeria to develop students on capacity building and advocacy in corporate governance, ethics and leadership for their future.
President of IoD, Dr. Ije Jidenma, who spoke at the signing of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institution and the institute in Lagos, said that focus of the partnership was on corporate governance, ethics and leadership for the betterment of the country towards international standard.
She noted that for possible employment, there is need for research findings, innovation and also for the private and public sector to be able to do well and create employment.
UNILAG outgoing Vice Chancellor, Prof. Oluwatoyin Ogundipe, on his part, said the collaboration was to train and ensure developing case studies between the university and IoD Nigeria.
He, however, commended the IoD for their commitment and promised that the incoming vice chancellor will actualise the vision.
