UNN appoints new DVC for Enugu campus

Famous Nigerian lawyer, Prof Edith Nwosu, is now the new Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC), University of Nigeria, Enugu campus. 

Famous Nigerian lawyer, Prof Edith Nwosu, is now the new Deputy Vice Chancellor (DVC), University of Nigeria, Enugu campus. 

Nwosu, whose appointment is with immediate effect, took over from Prof. Smart Uchegbu.

Nwosu attended Abakaliki High School in1977 and later went to the Institute of Management and Technology, Enugu, where she studied Cooperative Economics and Management in 1981.

Nwosu, who hails from Asa, Ukwa West Local Council of Abia State, gained admission to study law at the University of Nigeria and graduated in 1992 and Law School in 1993.

The University of Nigeria quickly engaged her as an Assistant Lecturer in 1994 and barely 17 years after her appointment, Edith Nwosu got elevated to the status of Professor of Law. 

Her first official function was the supervision of the 134th inaugural lecture of UNN, titled “Be Fruitful and Multiply, the turbulent journey of uncertainty by infertile couples”, which was presented by Prof. Samuel Nnamdi Obi.
