Uzodimma sends 17 commissioner nominees to state Assembly 

In an effort to reconstitute the state cabinet six months after it was dissolved, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, yesterday, forwarded the names of 17 commissioner nominees to the House of Assembly for screening and confirmation.

The names of the nominees were contained in a letter he transmitted to the Assembly through the Office of the Speaker, Hon. Kennedy Ibe, which was read and considered at plenary.

A statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary and Special Adviser on Media, Oguwike Nwachukwu, revealed that the nominees include: Prof. Duru Emmanuel Joseph Chukwuma, Dr. Prosper Ohayagha Success Obinna Chinonso; Prof. Ifunanya Okorodudu; Prof. C.O. Nwosu; Keziechi Ogaziechi; Rex Anunobi; Love Ineh and Mrs. Rubby Emele.

Others are: Simon Ebegbulem; Anukwuem Okechukwu Chukwunyere; Chief Ford Ozurumba; Hon. Stanley Obidiegwu; Hon. Goodluck Nana Opia; Mrs. Ann Dozie; Prof. Kenneth Amaeshi Hauia Rabbi Ibrahim and Dr. Elias Emedom.

According to the statement, the nominees had been referred to the appropriate committee of the Imo State House of Assembly for screening as of today.
