The Movement for the Survival of the Ogoni People (MOSOP) has expressed displeasure over palpable fears among the Ogoni people following political tension in the land ahead of today’s polls.

President of MOSOP, Fegalo Nsuke, speaking in Ebubu in Eleme Council of Rivers State, yesterday, described the domineering presence of the military in Ogoniland as signaling a declaration of war on the Ogoni people.

Nsuke, who described the militarisation of Ogoniland as threat to the peace of Ogoniland and causing monumental fears among the people, said it appears the outcome of the elections could be determined by the military and not the will of the people.

MOSOP urged the military not to worsen an already miserable condition, to which Shell and Nigerians discrimination have already confined the Ogoni people.
