Sir: I am reacting to “a recent poll conducted by NAIJ.com on social media,” which is said to have “shown that many Nigerians believe President Muhammadu Buhari is fit to rule the country in 2019.” According to the report, Nasir El-Rufai scored 12%; Rabiu Kwankaso, 19%; Atiku Abubakar, 21%, and the current President Muhammadu Buhari (GMB), 48%. Why did NAIJ.com choose to distract Nigerians with that issue at this critical time when Nigerians are waiting to see what miracle GMB has to perform in his remaining less than two years to the end of his tenure? Did NAIJ.com ask respondents whether they would vote? Why must the next President come from those zones the names represent? Aren’t there many pressing issues to investigate? What is GMB doing about Fulani herdsmen ravaging crop farms and killing farmers? Can he develop Nigeria, while refusing to dialogue for peace, and importing sophisticated weapons and experts to train security people how to use the weapons against Boko Haram (BH)? What pro-active measure did GMB take to neutralise the agitations of the Independent People of Biafra (IPOB) and other Biafra agitators, other than saying majestically that Nigeria’s unity is non-negotiable? NAIJ.com is a good medium, but it should consider more pressing issues at this moment of Nigeria’s history.

In addition to the above-stated points, the same GMB prefers going to London even for earache than developing Nigeria’s health sector. Contrary to his pre-election promise, GMB’s wife has been running the illegal Office of the First Lady, except when her husband was sick in London. Thereafter, she has been displaying wealth, giving scholarships and cash donations like Santa Claus. Only on Friday, September 15, 2017, report has it that “The wife of the Nigerian president, Aisha Buhari, has been spotted rocking an Oscar De La Renta Magnolia Guipure Caftan dress which costs $4490 (1,652,320 in naira)”, close to N2 million, dressed to welcome in a majestic way, Mrs. Janet Museveni, the wife of the Ugandan dictator, Yoweri Museveni. GMB fit to run Nigeria beyond 2019; how? For his failure to install ministers until about six months after his own inauguration as the President; his perpetration of carnage, genocide, and economic destruction of Nigeria; higher fuel price ever; recovering looted funds without impact on the economy; or what?

Boko Haram is an insurgent group; IPOB is an emerging insurgent group. Nigeria is moving from crisis to crisis. What qualifies GMB to run for reelection in 2019? Is it because GMB and his Deputy, Yemi Osinbajo are insensitive about Nigeria’s unity? Many members of the People’s Democratic Party are trooping into the All Progressives Congress (APC), because the third popular party I called-for has not emerged, and not because APC is doing well, since it is not doing well, given the aforementioned points. GMB is an agent of Islamic imperialism; Osinbajo represents Christian imperialism; the two most imperialistic/materialistic religions worldwide. What hope for Nigeria?
