. Anchors mobilisation drive on Tunji-Ojo’s leadership
. Says structure covers 18 LGAs, 203 wards, polling units

A support group within the All Progressives Congress (APC), BTO4PBAT, has stated that its grassroots mobilisation activities across Ondo State ahead of the 2027 general elections are being anchored on the political leadership of the Minister of Interior, Olubunmi Tunji-Ojo.

According to the group, its activities are focused on strengthening grassroots organisation, promoting political unity, encouraging voter participation and expanding engagement with communities across the state in support of President Bola Tinubu’s 2027 re-election bid.

In a statement issued by its Director-General, Adesuyi Adojutelegan, the group described Tunji-Ojo as a central figure in its political coordination efforts, citing his leadership, engagement with grassroots stakeholders and commitment to the group’s organisational objectives.

Adojutelegan disclosed that the group has established a coordination framework covering Ondo State’s 18 local council areas, 203 wards and polling units, with the aim of maintaining effective communication between its leadership, coordinators and members at the grassroots.

The support group further stressed that the structure was designed to ensure that political mobilisation and voter engagement reach the polling-unit level, rather than remaining concentrated among party elites or in urban centres.

The organisation explained that its programme is built around regular consultations with community leaders, women, youth, party stakeholders and eligible voters, with the objective of deepening participation in the democratic process.

“The minister’s political leadership provides an important framework for our activities, particularly in grassroots coordination, stakeholder engagement and organisational development,” Adojutelegan said.

He described Tunji-Ojo as a political mentor whose approach to leadership has influenced the group’s emphasis on discipline, consultation, collective responsibility and sustained community engagement.

Adojutelegan noted that effective political coordination is a continuous process requiring regular communication among leaders, local coordinators and members at every level of the organisation.

He said the group intends to maintain regular consultations with stakeholders across Ondo State to identify organisational challenges, encourage cooperation and strengthen relationships among its members.

Beyond voter mobilisation, the support group outlined plans for party reconciliation and voter education, describing both as essential components of its statewide engagement strategy.

The group said its grassroots programme would cover all 18 local government areas of Ondo State, with particular attention to ward-level coordination and community participation, as it intensifies preparations ahead of the 2027 presidential election.
