The gubernatorial candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Dr Jamilu Ilya Gwamna, has said that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Governor Muhammadu Inuwa Yahaya will guarantee the party’s electoral victory in next year’s general election.

Gwamna, who was elected as the APC’s standard bearer through a direct primary, thanked the outgoing governor, Yahaya, “for his purposeful leadership, political maturity, and unwavering commitment to the unity and progress of our party and state.”

He noted that the governor’s administration, “Gombe State has witnessed remarkable strides in infrastructure, healthcare, education, agriculture, security, and human capital development, achievements that have strengthened public confidence in the APC and positioned our state on the path of sustainable growth.”

He reflected on the courageous programmes and reform policies of President Tinubu under the Renewed Hope Agenda, noting that “these achievements have provided our party with a strong foundation and renewed determination as we prepare for the 2027 general elections.”

While extending a hand of fellowship to his fellow contestants, Dr Gwamna noted that the APC in Gombe State must remain united, focused, and fully prepared to consolidate on the gains and continue delivering purposeful leadership to our people.

His words: “My fellow aspirants and contestants, I wish to sincerely thank you for your courage, maturity, and contributions to strengthening our party through healthy democratic engagement.

“The primaries have come and gone, and now is the time for all of us to come together on the same ship with one shared destination, the continued progress, unity, and development of Gombe State.

“While we may have pursued different aspirations during the contest, our ultimate agenda has always remained the same, to build a stronger, more prosperous, and more united Gombe State.

“We must therefore eschew every form of division arising from the primaries and embrace reconciliation, mutual respect, and collective responsibility as one united political family.”

The APC governorship hopeful commended the party’s executives at all levels, including party stakeholders, supporters, and members of political parties across the state, for their sacrifices, commitment, and contributions throughout this process.

“The successful conduct of these primaries has once again demonstrated that the APC in Gombe State remains a party built on consultation, inclusiveness, transparency, and respect for democratic participation. It is a victory for the entire APC family and for all those who believe in peaceful and responsible politics,” he declared.
