Abia State Governor, Dr Okezie Ikpeazu

Abia state Chapter of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has said that she has been working towards removing the state PDP governor, Okezie Ikpeazu through the ballot box come 2019.

A party Chieftain and former member of the house of representatives for Ikwuano/Umuahia, Acho Obioma, told journalists in Umuahia that Ikpeazu’s sack will pave way for regular payment of workers salaries and pensions and rehabilitation of the state’s decayed and decaying infrastructure.

He said that his party will next month at a planned mass rally to be held at Umuahia, will have president Buhari and other party leaders from across the country in attendance, who will tell Abians how the state PDP government has impoverished the state and how APC will restore trust and confidence and rescue the state from further deterioration and stranglehold of the governor and his PDP government.

Obioma who is the Chairman of the Rally Planning Committee, however acknowledged that Ikpeazu has been persevering doing his best to make positive impact. Obioma warned journalists against misrepresenting the views and opinions of opposing political parties in favour of the state PDP government, stressing that democracy would be better, more effective and interesting if journalists reported issues objectively without prejudice.
