Chioma Toplis returns to the turf after career threatening surgeries

Notable Nollywood actress and star of the hit movie Stolen Bible, Chioma Toplis, is excited that she is returning to the industry she loves so much after a temporary pause occasioned by a domestic accident, which kept her away for some time. The pretty actress is enlivened that things are falling into place again in her acting career.

According to her, “the series of surgeries, which I had to undergo following the domestic accident, obviously frightened me and for once, I kept wondering how all these will turn out.

The movie industry is a glamorous one and nobody would want to compound issues with broken limbs. For months, I had screws and bolts in my bones and walking was a tug of war. It was a painful and frightening experience being unable to move like I used to. But God was there for His daughter. I trusted Him and He did not disappoint me at all.”

Fully back to acting now, film producers are paying attention, as 2021 opened on a bright note for her with outstanding movie roles alongside some renowned stars in the industry.

“I have been shuttling from Lagos to Asaba for work. So far, I have been on four different movie sets: Mad Preacher, which I shot for Rockcelly Productions. There is Crazy Widow for Holycup Productions, then Amaka, My Love’ for Ossy Affasson; and Dangerous Battle for Elshaddai Productions. I just got called for two others. I am glad for the opportunity to reconnect with some colleagues I had not seen in a while,” she explained.
