A data analyst and founder of multiple tech companies based in Lagos, Mr. Gabriel James, has enriched the techworld with a book on AI, titled The AI Powered Data Analyst. The book is now available for pre-order on Amazon ahead of its proposed January 2027 launch.

James, the founder of Datafrik.co, said he started in data analytics in 2022 and have worked for three U.S.-based digital technology companies – Udacity, Educative and Lighthall – that has enabled him enrol over 300 learners, create global software platform among others.

“I also founded Carbud (carbud.xyz), an AI-powered car super app for Nigerian drivers covering vehicle document renewals, mechanic booking, a parts and accessories market place and roadside assistance.

“Since 2022, I have also ran BlackPythonLovers, a free telegram community teaching Nigerians Python programming entirely as a volunteer. I recently spoke on the panel at TDI tech summit in Lagos.”

Speaking on the book and AI innovation, James said the book covers how working data analysts can practically integrate AI tools into their workflows, adding that it was written from the perspective of someone building and teaching data skills on the African continent.

He stated that African technologists can build and operate at a global level without relocating, noting that it says a lot about where the continent tech talent is heading.

“All my clients, students and platform has been built or served from Nigeria. I have not left Lagos to build any of these,” he noted.
