Sultry Nollywood actress, Mercy Aigbe, on New Year day, January 1, had fun celebrating her 40th birthday in grand style until the following day when a story hit the social media space linking her with a “stolen” wedding dress.
The bride in question, who is still threatening fire and brimstone to take Mercy to the cleaners for wearing her wedding reception dress on her (Mercy’s) 40th birthday photo shoot, has also resolved to take it up with the tailor who disappointed her by not delivering the dress as agreed.
The Edo State-born actress, whose grandiose celebration was a talk-of-the-town until the bubble burst, is presently not in the right frame of mind due to the bad story trending in the social media in the last few days.

As at the time of filing this report, Mercy was yet speak on the issue, but her publicist, Mutiat Alli, has since debunked the story, blaming the fashion designer for the whole drama.
“It is not Mercy’s fault to have worn a dress she had paid for; it is the fashion designer that should be blamed for playing a fast one on the bride.
“But we have settled the issue,” said Mutiat. However, the dust raised by the matter is yet to settle.
