The recently released single, Leave You Now by UK-based-Nigerian singer, Emmanuel Anjorin, who is better known in the music industry as Homebased, has been the talk among social media users.

Rated for the deep and conscious lyrics, with his fantastic song delivery, the talented afro-fusion act in the new offering addressed the issue of molestation and abused in relationship. As a result, different reactions have since followed the release of the song on social media with both men and women airing their opinions.

While the reactions lasted, the singer kept his cool until recently when he decided to speak about what really inspired him to write the song and how he feels about such unhealthy relationships.

He said: “Leave You Now touches on a very sensitive topic around abusive relationships. You may be surprised to know that a lot of people are going through this.”

“A friend of mine was in a similar situation and she was able to reach a point where she realized she couldn’t take it anymore and eventually left the relationship. This is where the inspiration for the song came from,” he added.

The singer urge people who are at present in such situation to seek help and summon courage to leave such relationship.

While his fans eagerly await his much anticipated Extended Play titled Spur Me On, a six-tracker, which is sure to showcase his natural flow and great acoustic talents, Homebased revealed that his next project, which he has titled, My Fire, will be a follow up of his trending Leave You Now, which are part of his upcoming EP.
