The winner of the just concluded 2016 Cowbellpedia Mathematics quiz competition in the senior category, Master Ayooluwa Oguntade, a student of Ambassadors College, Ota, Ogun State has affirmed that he will give his one million naira prize to God in appreciation for the divine favour received during the competition.

Oguntade, who is the head boy of his school, said since his victory was the manifestation of prayers offered to God by members of his family within the period of the competition, there is need to dedicate the prize to Him.

“I feel very great coming top today. I actually see the hand of God in this, and it is marvelous in my eyes. That is why I have proposed in my mind to give all to God. I feel so happy and excited, I never thought I would win, I think it is God’s favour and my determination, but it is more of God that made me to win,’ he said.

He also ascribed his success to his teachers and the Cowbell class that was organised by his school before the competition. Oguntade however advised his colleagues who have phobia for mathematics to confront their fears for the subject. ‘Mathematics phobia is about attitude, the solution is to face and resist your fear and it shall flee from you,” he said.

Commenting on his future, Oguntade affirmed that he aspires to study Engineering in the University and run his own company. He also intends to invent a flying car to ease the traffic problem on Nigerian roads.

On the other hand, Mr. Bodunrin Oguntade, the father of the winner expressed great appreciation to God and the organisers of the competition for the initiative that he believes will shape the future of Nigerian youth.

Oguntade emerged winner in the senior category by defeating Adegoke Aromolaran of Bibo Oluwa Academy, Ilesa, Osun State; Ademola Fatoke and Hasanah Adeyanju, both of Ota Total Academy, Ota, Ogun State; as well as Taiwo Adeyemi and Blessing Udoh, both of Ambassadosr College, Ota, Ogun State.

congratulation my boy. Your hard work has yield its result. I quote you ” I will give my N1 Million prize to God”, note that you are giving it to God rather than some church pastors or members. you succeed in the competition do to your hard work in study and your ability. Remember that good luck is not but result of past hard work. if you really want do any donation do not give to the church, do donation to some poor students that are unable to pay their school fees. donate for charity reason to motherless baby homes and other charitable institute but not to the church because God need nothing from you than continue with your hard study.
