Superstory wins ‘TV Drama of the Year’ at NMMA 2019
Popular family TV drama, Superstory has added a new feather to its cap recently as it was awarded ‘TV Drama of the Year’ at the prestigious Nigeria Media Merit Awards (NMMA), which took place at MUSON Centre, Marina Lagos.
The TV series received the accolade for its special season titled Donaldo, in which a female Police detective tirelessly leads her team to apprehend a notorious criminal and his gang.
Commenting on the award, the producer of the TV series, Wale Adenuga Jnr., said: “From the moment Superstory: Donaldo hit the TV screens in late 2018, the viewers began to let us know how ground-breaking it was. Without sacrificing any entertainment value, the story goes into detail in enlightening viewers on how to avoid falling victim to several types of crimes and scams.”

According to him, the current season of the TV series titled Monica is aired weekly to millions of viewers across the country on primetime channels, including NTA Network, Thursdays 8 – 9pm, STV Network, Thursdays 9 – 10pm, and wapTV, Thursdays 8 – 9pm with repeat broadcast on Fridays 10 – 11am and Sundays 8 – 9pm.
