The Nigeria Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has urged stakeholders to review and turn in their contributions on the new Civil Aviation Regulations (NCARs) 2022, ahead of implementation.

President Muhammadu Buhari signed the Nigeria Civil Aviation Act 2022 into law in December, repealing the NCARs 2015.

Director-General of Civil Aviation (DGCA), Capt. Musa Nuhu, in a circular to stakeholders, stated that reviews are welcome till March 21, 2023.

Nuhu explained that the apex regulatory body had set up a committee to attend to the recommendations and contributions of stakeholders in the industry and the general public.

The process and the committee were in line with Part 1.7 of the Nigeria Civil Aviation Regulations 2015.

He added that the review and eventual implementation would bring the regulations in compliance with Standards and Recommended Practices (SARPs) as contained in the latest amendment of the Annexes to the Convention on the International
Civil Aviation was signed in Chicago in 1944 and include some pertinent national issues.

The reviews and attendant proposals could be submitted through emails, hand delivery or courier to the DGCA through the Chairman of the Regulation Committee.
