Popular TV series on Africanmagic Yoruba entitled Mr & Mrs Kogberegbe has announced a new date for its ‘screen-2-stage’ event tagged Tunmigbe meaning ‘Remarry Me!’

Coming from the stable of Creative Village production, the event will now happen March 26, from 3pm with a red carpet session through to the event proper at the Blue Roof, LTV, Ikeja Lagos. The change in date the organisers said is solely to accommodate top dignitaries, traditional chiefs as well as the crème-da-la-crème in the entertainment industry.

In view of the change of date, Executive Director, Creative Village Production, who doubles as the lead actor and co-producer for the TV series, Adebukola Olakanlu, on behalf of, Dunni Badru (co-producer) also known as Mrs. Kogberegbe stated that the change in date is for the best and to give guests, lovers, couples and intending couples a night whose memories will continue to line.

He said, “Knowing that this event will surely be a yearly event just like we now have a registered show for Dallas Texas exclusively for couples — Couples Night Out With Mr & Mrs Kogberegbe, we don’t want to take any chances and we are giving this our best shoot. Family is everything, and every family most especially couple, deserves to be happy to function well.”

“The change is worth it, as we would be having notable traditional leaders that the Yoruba culture hold in high esteem. These traditional leaders have taken it as a point of duty to identify with our brand and we are not intending to take this privilege for granted. We hope to establish Tunmigbe in Nigeria, thus, paving way for Nigerian couples too to travel down to the US to witness the Dallas editions subsequently,” he added.

According to Olakanlu, Tunmigbe seeks to be an evening of comedy, fun and full drama for entertainment lovers in Nigeria, bringing couples together and giving them the comfortable feeling as lovers and married folks in the heart of Lagos. He added that the show also seeks to empower families in the long run with some capital to start up mini businesses and help reduce the rate of poverty in the average Nigerian homes.
“Kogberegbe family is a TV programme that brings to life fun moments and family connections addressing most marital issues in an interactive and dramatic act. Its themes cuts across; from finance to morals, endurance, love, tolerance, external influences, commitment.”

Guests expected at the event with confirmation include; Alaafin of Oyo, Oba Lamidi Olayiwola Atanda Adeyemi III; Ogun socialite and deep pocketed businessman, who doubles as chairman of IBD IMPEX Limited, Chief Ibrahim Egungbohun (aka Dende); Fuji artiste, Wasiu Alabi Ajibola (a.k.a Pasuma Wonder); Small Doctor, Jimboi, Lateef Adedimeji, Obaro Tiblaze, Kenny Blaq and among others.

It is apt to note that ‘Mr. and Mrs. Kogberegbe’ is one of the popular Yoruba drama series on the Nigeria screen. It was in 2016, awarded the ‘Best Yoruba Sitcom’ at the Oodua Image Awards organised by Yoruba Youth Corporation, North America.
