With special woman, Cornel drops timeless tribute to women

Barely five months after the release of his romantic single, Promise, vocal coach and choir trainer, Cornelius Ogar, known professionally in the showbiz world as Cornel, has sparked frenzy online with the release of another song titled, Special Woman.

The new release is a heartfelt tribute to the beauty, strength, courage and unwavering commitment of women to both family and society. More than just a song, the soulful track celebrates the multifaceted nature of womanhood, capturing the essence of what makes women truly special. It’s already taking the Internet to frenzy mode.

Produced by the talented Jessekitzbeatz and expertly mixed and mastered by Ademilove, Special Woman is brought to life under the banner of Steeze Hub Entertainment, a creative outfit helmed by Cornel himself, who wears many hats as a singer-songwriter, choir/vocal trainer, actor and model.

The video of the single prominently featured his significant other half (wife) and his mother, who have formed a fortress for his musical journey with their prayers. “This is more than just a song; it’s a celebration of womanhood in its truest form. I begin another phase of the Special Woman from home! I call it The Praying Wife…The Special Woman,” the singer told The Guardian in a chat.

The University of Lagos (UNILAG) Creative Art (Music) graduate has done vocal and choir arrangements for notable musical artistes including Patoranking’s 2019 album, Wilmer. As one of Nigeria’s remarkable tenor singers, Cornel has also played prominent roles in these musicals: Mamamia, Joseph and his Technicolor Dreamcoat, The Promise, Jesus Christ Superstar and many more.

Beyond singing, the actor-cum-model from Cross River State who uses his pure tenor vocals to speak the hearts and minds of lovebirds all over the world has graced the TV screen with his appearance in Tinsel and The Damned.

With a career spanning almost two decades, and beginning with StarQuest in 2006, which he won with D’Accord band, before transitioning to emerge as runner-up in ‘The Voice Nigeria’, the body language of the seven-footer, given the way he is churning out singles with similar themes, The Guardian observed, is aiming for a full album release soon.
