Rocking Lagos with Wale, M.I, Wizkid others
Last Saturday, at a luxurious mansion in the heart of Lagos, the exceptional spirits, world-class menus, perfectly curated music and three hosts at the top of their craft, added up to the best party Lagos has experienced in recent times.
Grammy-nominated rapper, Wale, Martell Brand Ambassador, M.I and Apparel 24’s Temitayo Eyitayo, hosted the next level home entertainment. And one after the other, they took turn to share personal take on Martell’s art of hosting.
The City’s top influencers and celebrities across the fashion, music and creative space were hosted to an evening of unsuspected gastronomic experience, as Chef Eros brought to life a fusion between food, music, style and culture, whilst discovering the infinite smoothness of the newly unveiled Blue Swift finished in Bourbon casks. There was also sampling specially, curated cocktails such as the Curious Julep.
Evoking the spirit of curiosity, guests were taken on an immersive brand experience through the themed rooms set over four floors, which gave guests a glimpse into the world of the night’s hosts. The ‘Wale’ bed room, which featured video games, basketball memorabilia and items from the Rapper’s collection, whilst M. I’s room featured a recording booth where guests could become musicians for the night and lay down their tracks.
Guests were treated to a specially curated music experience as DJ Obi and Crowd Kontroller, two of the Country’s finest DJ’s took to the decks. Elevating the music experience was a special performance by Wale who took to the stage to perform some of his biggest tracks. The surprise of the night came as Wizkid joined Wale on stage for a one-off performance to the delight of guests.
The event also served as the official launch of the Martell Blue Swift, the first Martell V.S.O.P finished in Kentucky Bourbon Casks. Martell has set the standard for quality and excellence for over 300 years and perfected its approach to produce superior quality cognacs.
Notable among guests at the event included Toolz Oniru Demuren, Gbemi Olateru, Zainab Balogun, Bolanle Olukanni, Lamide Akintobi. Eku Edewor, Tracy Nwapa, Lynxxx, Timini Egbuson, POE and others.
