A Nigerian man, who predicted that the Super Eagles would triumph over Angola, has picked two teams from Group A to play in the finals.

Hours, before Nigeria faced off against the Palancas Negras of Angola, Temitope Olayinka Ajagunna, predicted a 1-0 victory for the Super Eagles.

Ajagunna also added that the game could end in a 2-0 victory for Nigeria but that the scoreline would depend on a VAR decision.

“The Oracle still sees a CLEAN SHEET for the Eagles and a 1- 0 victory,” Ajagunna wrote in a post published on Facebook at 2:37 pm on Friday. The game kicked off at 6:00 pm Nigerian time.

“It may be 2-0 depending on the referee and VAR because we will put the ball in the net TWICE but VAR may have a say on one.”

On January 30, Ajagunna wrote in a Facebook post that two teams from Group A would play in the finals. Nigeria and hosts Ivory Coast were in the group and have both qualified for the semifinals.

Ivory Coast will square up against DR Congo on February 7 while Nigeria will play South Africa on the same day but in an earlier fixture.

The hosts came from a goal down to dispatch valiant Malians, with a back-heel goal by Oumar Diakite in added time at the end of extra time giving the Ivorians a 2-1 win.

South Africa, one of the teams Ajagunna predicted would be in the last four, booked a place in the semi-final after beating Cape Verde on penalties on Saturday.

Despite his run of accurate predictions so far, Ajagunna insisted he was not a seer or prophet.

“I simply study issues very carefully and dispassionately so when I make predictions they are sometimes (not all the time) close to accurate,” he wrote in another post.

He also warned that he does not support sports betting and that his predictions should not be taken as an encouragement for gambling.

“Gambling is a very destructive vice that I personally understand its power of destruction,” Ajagunna wrote. “The JOKES I make telling people to go bet their savings are nothing but JOKES.”
