Barca offers Dembele, Coutinho in exchange for Neymar

Barcelona have offered two stars worth €300 million plus €40 million to Paris Saint-Germain in an attempt to bring Neymar back to the Camp Nou, according to Spanish publication AS.

The La Liga champions have included Philippe Coutinho and Ousmane Dembele along with cash to the French giants in a blockbuster deal that would blow the €222 million PSG paid Barca for the Brazilian out of the water.

As have reported that Paris have rejected the bid, instead holding out for €300 million cash for their star forward, who has reportedly told the club he wants to leave.

Neymar failed to return in time for pre-season training last week, angering a club that were already vocal about Neymar’s attitude and off-field antics.

Just last month PSG president Nasser Al-Khelaifi said he no longer wants “superstar behaviour” at the club, a clear shot at Neymar, and suggested such players would be shown the dor.

“Nobody forced him [Neymar] to sign here. Nobody pushed him to. He came with a fully understanding of the cause to sign up to a project,” Al-Khelaifi said.

Multiple outlets have reported Barcelona and Paris Saint-Germain have entered discussions over the transfer, and it would appear the suggested offer of Coutinho, Dembele and cash would represent huge value for the Ligue 1 champions.

Barcelona have already paid €120 million for Antoine Griezmann this transfer window, and would need to sell several high-profile players to fund a move for Neymar should they not succeed in a swap deal.
