Former Director General of National Sports Commission (NSC), Gbenga Elegbeleye, has urged the Ondo State Governor-elect, Rotimi Akeredolu, to invest more in the state’s sports and take it to the top of the sector in the country.

According to the former Peoples Democratic Party’s Governorship aspirant, who has now joined the All Progressives Congress (APC), “Akeredolu has the wherewithal to transform the state to number one in sports in the country with the abundant talents available in the state.

In a statement yesterday, Elegbeleye said: “First of all, I am using this medium to congratulate the Ondo State Governor elect, Senior Advocate of Nigeria, Rotimi Akeredolu, for being elected as the new Governor of Ondo State. I am very sure that his tenure would be a huge success because of his credibility and experience.

“I would like the new governor to dwell more in empowering the youths of the state, which he can easily achieve through sports.
