Fan hails VISA World Cup experience


The most anticipated 21st FIFA world cup football game kicked off last week, in Russia. But for those who will not be able to make it, VISA Inc., global payment company has partnered with Balmoral to bring Russia to Lagos, the Center of Excellence.

Visa Inc. has been a top-tier FIFA partner since 2007, and holds exclusive rights in the financial services product category through 2022. The international payment giant has also invested in the FIFA 2018 World Cup by running the “Use & Win” campaign that will send 20 Nigerians to Russia for the world cup games, and also as one of the official sponsors for Russia in Lagos Fan Festival.

This will be the first World Cup held in Europe since the 2006 tournament in Germany with 32 national teams battling for the golden trophy. Of the 32 teams, 20 will be making back-to-back appearances following the last tournament in 2014.

The Russia in Lagos Fan Festival is currently taking place at Eko Atlantic City, every day until 15th July, 2018, and is the largest viewing village Nigeria has ever seen! Get ready for fun, as all 64 matches are shown live on a Mega Screen at the Balmoral Fan Village. There are mini Food souks that will have everything from exquisite dishes to street food, a Music festival with an impressive lineup in partnership with Balmoral.
