MD Hassino group urges corporate bodies to invest in weightlifting

The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that Hassino Group Building Nigeria Limited is patterning with the Nigeria Weightlifting Federation (NWF) to develop the sports.

NAN reports that Nigerian Weightlifter’s team on Thursday return home with a total of nine medals at the just concluded International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships and Commonwealth Games qualifiers in Uzbekistan.

NAN reports that a total of seven lifters made of five women and two men represented the country in the 10 days championship.

Saddiq told NAN that with the outcome of the victory recorded at the just concluded championship, his company was set to solidify his relationship with the Federation.

According to him, the results will definitely attract more investors into the sport.

“Corporate bodies or private organisations are attracted with the success story of any sport activities.

” I will also use this medium to tell other business communities that there is a lot in investing in sports.

“If you invest in it you will not lost and they have prove it, my organisation and I are economically, physically paving our way into this,” he said.

The managing director commended the weightlifters for returning home with nine medals to make the country proud.

“We have seen the nine medals, we want to continue to support in building up weightlifting as a brand. I congratulate the president of the Federation for this victory.

“I also congratulate these youth teams for the success, and kudos to them for the work well done,” he said

The President of the NWF, Abdul Ibrahim, urged other private organisations to emulate Hassino Group Building Nigeria Limited in investing not only in the Weightlifting but in other sports.

“We have a good relationship with the company they are ready to support us any time we need their help.

“We also need more investors to come in to support the Federation we have several competitions at the local level and, especially we need to participate international competitions.

“The Federation cannot do this alone , we need more support , the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports Development is always there for us whenever we need them,” he said.

NAN reports that International Weightlifting Federation (IWF) World Championships and Commonwealth Senior Championships which started on Dec. 7, to Dec.17, in Tashkent, Uzbekistan.
