Osun College of Technology opens sports academy
Osun State College of Technology, Esa Oke, has opened its Science and Sports Academy with the aim of raising well-rounded sportsmen and women.
Chief coach of the school, Jimoh Fatade said the idea is to encourage youths in the country to take active role in sports, adding that the project, which started off with football, would soon involve other sports.
Jimoh, who said the academy is open to students of the institution and members of the public, disclosed that it is one of the institution’s effort in checking social vices among youths and teenagers in the country.
“The Rector, Dr. Samson Adegoke, has given us full support because he is passionate about using the academy to discover and improve talents of our youths in Nigeria.”
