Paul Pogba is hoping to fire Manchester United into the knockout stages of the Champions League this week, and arrived to training in style on Monday in a luxury £250,000 jet black Rolls Royce.

The World Cup winner is finally back in the United fold following a lay-off from injury, and will be looked upon as the talisman when Swiss side Young Boys visit Old Trafford on today.

Pogba looked cool and collected as he was driven into the club’s Carrington training base, unperturbed by photographers snapping away as his chauffeur eased through the gates.

The Frenchman made his comeback at the weekend in the Premier League, though a frustrating afternoon saw United held to a goalless stalemate by Crystal Palace and Pogba himself withdrawn just after the hour mark.

If coupled with the right result in the other Group H fixture, a win for Jose Mourinho’s men over Young Boys on Tuesday would secure passage to the coveted knock-out stages.

Current form in the group phase so far falls in United’s favour, following an inspired, late 2-1 victory over Juventus in Turin three weeks ago.

As things currently stand in group H, Juventus top the group on nine points from four matches played.

United sit second with seven, while Valencia have five points and Young Boys have a solitary one.

For Mourinho’s men, qualification to the last 16 of the Champions League will be assured if they beat Young Boys and Valencia fail to overcome Juventus in Turin.
