Etsu Nupe visits Oba Ewuare II

The recent visit of Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe to Oba Ewuare 11, the Oba of Benin in his palace in Benin, demonstrated the good relationship between the two monarchs.

The recent visit of Alhaji Yahaya Abubakar, the Etsu Nupe to Oba Ewuare 11, the Oba of Benin in his palace in Benin, demonstrated the good relationship between the two monarchs.
  
Welcoming the Etsu Nupe and members of his royal entourage, Oba Ewuare II thanked him for participating in his coronation ceremony. He described the Etsu Nupe as a fine traditional ruler, whose appointment as the Chancellor of the Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma is a square beg in a square hole.
   
The Benin monarch expressed confidence that the Chancellor would be able to provide desired leadership for the growth and development of the institution.He expressed his eagerness to pay a similar visit, when he embarks on a nation-wide post coronation thank-you tour.

  
The Oba urged the Etsu Nupe to regard the Palace of the Oba of Benin as his home away from home.In his response, the Etsu Nupe told the Benin monarch that he was in Edo State to attend the convocation ceremony of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma, where the state governor, Mr. Godwin Nogheghase Obaseki is expected to be installed as the Visitor to the university.
   
He explained that as the Chancellor of the university, he considered it very important to pay the Oba a royal visit.He expressed gratitude to the Oba for the existing cordial relationship between them, since he became the Chancellor of Ambrose Alli University, Ekpoma.
