Church Of Nigeria to hold all clergy conference


The 2021 edition of the Church of Nigeria (Anglican Communion) All Clergy Conference is on top gear, as the National Planning Committee (NPC), led by the Chairman, Rt. Rev. (Dr.) Samuel O. Sowale, together with the Local Organising Committee (LOC) led by the Chairman, the Most Rev. (Dr.) Blessing C. Enyindah went on inspection visit of the scheduled venue of the conference, Rivers State University of Technology, Nkpolu Port Harcourt, Rivers State.

The visit was to ascertain the level of preparedness for the conference, particularly the suitability of the facilities and also find areas that require attention. The joint committees inspected the Convocation arena and other facilities of the University, where the conference of more than 10,000 clergies is to hold from August 23 to 27, 2021.


Among the National Planning Committee members in attendance were some executive members of the Church of Nigeria’s House of Clergy: the Prolocutor, General Secretary, Financial Secretary and P.R.O., Venerables Isuwa Saidu; Silas Onuigbo; Syrenius Okoriko and Hanson Bernard.

The conference of all the clergy of the Church of Nigeria holds every four years. It has held at the University of Ibadan (2004), the University of Nigeria, Nsukka (2008), Ajayi Crowther University, Oyo (2012) and Benue State University, Markurdi (2016).

The Port Harcourt edition was to hold in 2020 but was shifted because of COVID-19.
