Dealing with foundational problems – Part 4

In Joshua 6:26, Joshua cursed Jericho, stating that anyone who tried to rebuild the city will lay the foundation with his first born and set up the gates with his youngest son. About four generations later, in 1kings 16:34, during the reign of King Ahab, Hiel made an attempt to build the city. When he laid the foundation, his first son Abiram died and his last son, Segub was not spared according to the prophecy. They offered help not knowing there was an underlying foundational issue. Understand that whosoever God curses, it is difficult to bless him/her.

From our Bible text, Jer.16:1-11, we see that God instructed this people not to marry from a particular group or have any dealings with them to avoid partaking in their curses. Often times, when we see things happen around us, we tend to think they are just part of normal life experiences or even coincidences; little do we understand that there are underlying powers in operation.

Hiel lost his first and last sons, while trying to build the city yet the city never got any better. It looked good and pleasant to the eyes, yet barren and unproductive to its inhabitants until it dawned on them that something was wrong and they cried to the man of God in 2Kings 2:19.

It is important to identify things that can cause foundational problems in ones life or a group of people.
Apart from curses, evil dedication can lead to foundational problems. This means to set something or someone aside to a deity for a specific purpose and when this is done, demons are released to supervise and secure him/her or it. Any dedication to a deity, spirit or power other than God is an evil dedication. Parents or grandparents who served Satan or demon usually dedicate their children to the deity hence demonic spirits are assigned to ensure the children remain in their custody and are often times being tormented.

Also, evil oaths and covenants taken can lead to foundational problems. A man can stand on behalf of every member of his family to take covenants that are detrimental to the destinies of everyone.

Finally, evil soul ties can cause foundational problems.
To put an end to all of these, you need knowledge of what you are dealing with. This you can get not only from the scripture, but from the Holy Spirit who will reveal to you the secret of your life.

Revelation is very powerful, but in all get the new birth and go to God in repentance. You also need to restitute, while you engage in warfare.

Finally, you raise an altar by sacrifice. Battles cannot be won without altars. Spirits are attracted to altars and when you live holy you are building a godly altar, Romans 12:1. Altars cannot work for you unless powered by sacrifice. Sow a good seed that can cancel every negative power from your foundation. “I decree that every strange thing that has been happening in your foundation is cancelled today, and you and your children will begin to build on a solid foundation in Jesus’ name.”
