God made provisions for the work of ministry through tithe and every genuine believer should be excited at such command and partake in partnering with God.

I have discovered that whenever I pay my tithe and first fruit, I am always excited. I have done that which is good and my obedience is complete by such act. I can now stand before God boldly in prayers to commune with him.

“Let us therefore come boldly unto the throne of grace that we may obtain mercy, and find grace to help in time of need,” Hebrews 4:16.

You can only come boldly before God when your obedience is complete; when you have done that which you know you ought to do. Those that condemn tithe no matter their reasons, are mischievous. They have a hidden hatred for God and His Kingdom. Unknown to them, they are out to mislead the church to do evil.

Whether tithing is of the Old or New Testament or if it is paid to God in the name of the Lord, is not your concern. The issue is each time you pay, you fulfill your part of the covenant.

Tithe is a spiritual act and the carnally minded cannot understand it, although they may be in the church, but the spirit in them is not upright. Tithing is a mystery, which the mind of a sinful carnal man cannot comprehend, so, he becomes hostile to it.

Apostle Paul’s letter to the church in Rome describes the state of such as being wicked against the covenant or against God’s kingdom.

“For they that are after the flesh do mind the things of the flesh; but they that are after the spirit, the things of the spirit. For to be carnally minded is death; but to be spiritually minded is life and peace .… But if the Spirit of him that raised up Jesus from the dead dwell in you, he that raised up Christ from the dead shall also quicken your mortal bodies by his Spirit that dwelleth in you”. Romans 8:5-11.

To resist tithe is to resist God’s command or to put a separation between man and God’s intervention in man’s situation. Paying tithes give God free access to intervene in your finances, business, and life.

“Bring ye all the tithes into the storehouse, that there may be meat in mine house, and prove me now herewith, saith the Lord of Hosts, if I will not open you the windows of heaven, and pour you out a blessing that there shall not be room enough to receive it.

“And I will rebuke the devourer for your sakes, and he shall not destroy the fruits of your ground; neither shall your vine cast her fruit before the time in the field, saith the Lord of Hosts.” Malachi 3:10-11.

Our tithes give God direct access, approval to intervene in that which concerns us. God is a God of principle; He will not come in except we invite Him and open the door. (Revelation 3:20)
