Memory Verse: … you have not chosen me, but I have chosen you, …go…bring forth fruit … that your fruit shall remain…John 15:16,

Bible Passage: Acts 15:36; Acts 16:5

Introduction:
Evangelism is not an esoteric term or department reserved for a specially trained team with loud voices and great charisma. It is at the very heart of Christianity meant for every Christian without exception. This is why Jesus came. This is why He shed His blood and why He died. This is why we are saved. He left no one in doubt about our calling to save and redeem every sinner. It is the essence of our faith. Failure or neglect is not merely a threat to our faith, but a fundamental negation of the life assignment of every Christian. It is our prayer that the Holy Spirit will reveal the heart of Jesus to us on evangelism. He came to save us from hell.

Fruitbearing, A Must
We are saved to go out and save others, Jn.15: 16; Rom.7: 4. Failure can lead to loss of eternal fellowship with the Lord Jesus Christ, Jn.15: 1-2; Matt.3: 10; Heb.6: 8. Unfruitfulness may be as a result of the wiles of Satan, tribulations and persecution and worldliness, Matt.13: 18-22– Lk.13: 6; Lk.19: 20.

Abiding Fruit
Jesus ordained the believers not only to bear fruits but, to also ensure that the fruits abide, Jn.15: 16. We must apply ourselves towards caring, maturing and multiplying the fruits, Col.1: 28. The indispensable pathway is the ministry of follow-up. This goes hand-in-hand with evangelism. We cannot separate one from the other. Biblical examples include the early Apostles particularly Paul, Acts 15:36; Acts 16:5; Acts 2:46; Phil.2: 19-20; Eph.1: 15-18; Acts 18:18-23. The simple age-long way of doing this is prayer for and Bible study with the newly saved souls and putting them through the basic teaching of our faith. The Holy Spirit is so ever willing and delighted to help ground and establish young souls in the faith and in a local assembly, Acts 2: 41-47. To help them discover their gifting and calling and purpose in life.

Conclusion
Having received some basic teaching on this let us become passionate doers of what we have learnt. Call on the Holy Spirit today and He will help you. We rebuke barrenness in every area of your life and we decree all round fruitfulness and prosperity in the mighty name of Jesus. Amen!
