Get it right with God – Part 2

Key Verse: Genesis 6:5: “Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually,” (NKJV).

God is interested in the heart. The heart is deceitful and desperately wicked, that is what God says (Jeremiah 17:9). God is the all-wise God and He knows what He is saying. Who can know the heart of man? Only God knows what is inside of a man. But then, from the heart of man all things flow out. The Bible tells us that the things that flow out from the heart of men are anti-God. From the heart of man, flows out all marks of godlessness and ungodliness. Man does not display evil occasionally, but all the time. Never mind when man wants to pretend that he is okay, he can never be okay because there is only one way through which he will be okay and that way is getting it right with God.

Jesus said in Mark 7:20 that what comes out of a man defiles a man and from within, out of the heart of men proceed evil thoughts, acts of sexual immorality, adultery, murders, thefts and evil reasoning. All these evil things come from within and they defile a man (Mark 7:21).

And so, if you have any of these things in you, you are defiled already and it will be good to do something about it. You don’t solve it by shouting or making a noise, but by repentance that leads to salvation. This is how the Apostle Paul puts it in 1 Corinthians 6:9-10 saying: “Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God?”

He went further to say, “do not be deceived: the sexually immoral, idolaters, adulterers, prostitutes, homosexuals, thieves, the greedy, drunkards, slanderers and swindlers will not inherit the kingdom of God.”

Every ungodly and wicked man will not make it to heaven. Do not be deceived no matter what anybody may be teaching, preaching or shouting to the contrary; it does not make sense. You cannot shout away the word of God because all scripture is settled forever in heaven. God is behind every jot and every tittle of His Word and He will fulfill His word that is what the Bible tells us. Nobody by shouting or jumping all over the place will change the word of God. We take the word of God into our system so that we will not fulfill the sinful desires of the flesh. In Galatians 5:19-21, the Bible says that the works of the flesh are adultery, fornication, uncleanness, false testimony, idolatry, hatred, among others. So, you look at these things and ask yourself, are my there? Find out if you are there and if you are there, you begin to ask God to help you out of it so that you become a proper child of God.

As a child of God, you must give the Devil some distance. There must be a boundary between you and the people of the world.

Make a decision to give your life to Christ today. I made a decision to give my life to Christ; I was not forced to do it. Nobody deceived me to give my life to Christ and I did not do it out of ignorance. I did it with full knowledge and understanding of who I was outside of Christ. Before then, I was an alien, a stranger and an enemy of God. I had no hope whatsoever both here on earth and all through eternity.
