Physical death is a must and necessary end for all human beings under the heaven; however, there are two types of deaths, physical and spiritual. As soon as an individual suffers physical death, the purpose of his or her incarnation into this planet earth is cut short whether fulfilled or not. The purpose of our coming into this planet is to attain perfection through service to God, our creator. In the course of being obedient to His words and serving Him, we keep on inculcating His divine nature of love. This love will be for Him our creator and for our fellow human being. By the time an individual has love for his creator and fellow human being, he will have good thought about them and must never plan or think evil for them. When a person has love, it will purge him or her of all devilish thoughts and plans. He will not be an instrument in the hand of the devil to steal what does not belong to him, kill a fellow man, or show amoral interest in the body of a fellow man’s wife or daughter.
One who has divine love or the agape love will not do evil to another. He will live a holy and righteous life here on earth and when physical death comes he will go back to God, his creator in life after death. God is waiting to welcome all his human creatures back to Himself in heaven to continue life eternally. That is why the Bible mandates prayers for all men and their human leaders so that they will live spirit-filled life, directed by God. God is not happy when any man fails to attain this feat of salvation.
It is as a result of the fact that God does not want the death of a sinner, hence He continuously warns against sin and its consequences. In Ezekiel 18:5-9 the Bible says, “But if a man be just, and do that which is lawful and right, 6: And hath not eaten upon the mountains, neither hath lifted up his eyes to the idols of the house of Israel, neither hath defiled his neighbour’s wife, neither hath come near to a menstruous woman; 7: And hath not oppressed any, but hath restored to the debtor his pledge, hath spoiled none by violence, hath given his bread to the hungry, and hath covered the naked with a garment; 8: He that hath not given forth upon usury, neither hath taken any increase, that hath withdrawn his hand from iniquity, hath executed true judgment between man and man, 9: Hath walked in my statutes, and hath kept my judgments, to deal truly; he is just, he shall surely live, saith the Lord God.” God is emphatic in His statement in this scripture that the soul that commits sin shall die. As earlier stated above, there are physical and spiritual deaths. The reference here is on spiritual death. Everyone on earth must die physically by the separation of the spirit from the body; then the evil doers will die again spiritually and enter hell fire. This is the type of death God does not want anybody to suffer. It is only the people who harden their hearts against the word of God that will undergo this spiritual death. The people who will be obedient to the word of God are expected to avoid all sinful activities as stated in this scripture, so as to enter into everlasting life in heaven.
Although He has earlier warned against committing sin of any kind, in His love He still gave room for repentance and forgiveness to give more opportunity to all. That is why He sent His son to die for the sins of the world. The Bible says in John 3:16-18, “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life. 17: For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.18: He that believeth on him is not condemned: but he that believeth not is condemned already, because he hath not believed in the name of the only begotten Son of God.”
It is a demonstration of love and the fact He does not want anybody to perish that prompted God to send His only son Jesus Christ to die for the sins of the world. Therefore, for all to be saved, there is allowance for repentance and forgiveness of sins. God is good in all His ramifications but Satan the author of sin is evil, and bad in every way, that is, why sin separates man from God because the good God does not behold iniquity. God, therefore, has prepared the heaven for the ransomed of the Lord who will return to partake in the eternal life in heaven. In Isaiah 35:10, the Bible says, “And the ransomed of the Lord shall return, and come to Zion with songs and everlasting joy upon their heads: they shall obtain joy and gladness, and sorrow and sighing shall flee away.” There is ever joy in heaven and that will characterise the eternal life of the redeemed of the Lord. The people our Lord Jesus Christ has purchased His precious blood for. That everlasting joy is what God has planned for all human beings He created and He does not want any human being to miss this everlasting joy in heaven. That is why God does not take pleasure in the death of a sinner. There is merriment in heaven whenever a sinner repents. As many as repents he calls the chosen ones as stated in 1st Peter 2:9, “But ye are a chosen generation, a royal priesthood, an holy nation, a peculiar people; that ye should shew forth the praises of him who hath called you out of darkness into his marvellous light: 10: Which in time past were not a people, but are now the people of God: which had not obtained mercy, but now have obtained mercy.” The repented souls, the people doing the will of God, are special to God as members of His royal family and of the priesthood office.
The people who have accepted Jesus Christ have obtained mercy and as a result of that have become God’s people. The explanation of the office of priesthood will be for another day. However, every true Christian is a priest in the sight of God. Having known that God does not delight in the death of a sinner, anyone reading this message and still indulges in sinful activities should repent and accept Jesus Christ as Lord and Saviour and prepare for the second coming of our Lord Jesus Christ and eternal life in heaven, as well. Heaven is a prepared place for prepared people, so you must prepare yourself by turning away from all evils, be it fornication, adultery, smoking, drinking of alcohol, stealing, robbery, kidnapping, ritual killing, hired assassination, polygamous marriages, one chance, using attachment/weave-on, painting, lying, homosexualism, lesbianism, beastialism, among others, all these and more are terrible sin and must be done away with. Remember our topic is “God has no pleasure in the death of sinners.”
1Tim2v3-4 says, “For this is good and acceptable in the sight of God our saviour, who will have all men to be saved and come to the knowledge of truth.” The desire of God is that all be saved, including you reading this message, so make haste and turn to God before it is too late. Note, you are not the owner of your life. Even if rapture does not take place now, do you know when you will die? So don’t delay again but surrender your life to Jesus Christ now before it is too late.
