I know your works – Part 5

Ejikeme Ejim<br />

God is mindful of everything we do under the sun and He will one day call us to give account of our stewardship to Him. God knows the details of everything going on in the world and absolutely nothing is hidden from Him. He sees everything done in secret and in public. He will evaluate our works to reward us according to our deeds. In the letters to the seven churches in Revelation Chapters 2 and 3, God gives each church an evaluation and this evaluation begins with its works. What does God say about your works?

God said to Satan concerning Job, there is no one like Job; he is blameless and upright, a man who fears God and shuns evil (Job 1:8). Satan replied, have you not put a hedge around him and everything he has? God allowed Satan to touch Job to certain extent. God came back and said to the Devil, have you not touched him and has anything changed after taking away everything he has; is the man not still upholding his integrity? God said, Job has not loved me because of material blessings but has loved me for who I am.

Job feared God and hated evil. Do you fear God and hate evil? Do you hate evil that you have heard, flying across, suggested to you and has been muted to you? Have you become a messenger of evil, a promoter of evil, a carrier of evil news and you say you are a child of God? No, it is definitely not God of the Bible; it must be another god with a small “g”. Many people come to church but they don’t want to relate with God. If God says be holy, then be holy because He means it and Has given us the ability to be holy.

Cain was a problem and a failure; David failed badly; the elders of Israel in Ezekiel Chapter 8 failed and Ahab and Jezebel were a wicked team but God loved Job because he feared the Lord. Are you seeking for promotion? The answer is in Job 1:8 and that is you must love righteousness and hate evil. God said concerning Job, there is no one like Job. Please think of this and let it be your testimony.

Here is another testimony in Matthew 3:16-17, God, making attestation about Christ, said, “This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.” This testimony did not end with Jesus. This testimony is available for us today and to as many that are prepared to give themselves completely to God and reject the devil, the demons, the flesh, the world, sin and hell. This testimony is an ongoing testimony, “this is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.”

Another testimony is from the Book of John 1:47. Jesus said concerning Nathaniel, “Behold a true Israelite indeed in whom there is no guile”. Nathaniel is the real deal. Are you a true citizen of your beloved country? Are you the real deal? If you want to get it right, you must be real; you must take a clear stand against sin, worldliness, evil, flesh and all types of wickedness and abominations. If you want God to be in your midst, you must take a clear stand against evil wherever you see it.
Today’s Nugget: Don’t be a messenger of evil
Prayer: Lord, help me to take a clear stand against evil
