• As Pastor Afolabi Afowosheru Surrenders His Church To Lord’s Chosen

General Overseer of the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Revival Ministries, Pastor Lazarus Muoka has reminded backsliders and sinners at the church’s just concluded programme, Hope For The Needy, held at the Chosen Ground by Ijesha Bus Stop, Lagos, that the only way they could be at peace with God is by repenting and accepting Christ. He said if God could save humanity from sin through Jesus Christ, there is absolutely nothing He cannot do to sustain those who come to Him in repentance.

Quoting copiously from the Bible to buttress his point, Muoka pointed out how God sustained the children of Israel by miracle. The cleric, who spoke on theme, “Hope for the needy” part two, assured his audience that God is merciful, compassionate and ever willing to help the needy. He advised the mammoth crowd, especially those who think they have no helper, to wipe their tears, saying the Lord Who had compassion on the widow, whose only son died, will show up for them.

He also encouraged the jobless to lay their hands on something, no matter how small.’ Also at the event, a building engineer and General Overseer of The Standard Throne of Faith Ministry, Lokoja, Pastor Afolabi Afowosheru, relinquished his church to The Lord’s Chosen. Afowosheru, who claimed he was obeying God’s instruction based on the revelation he received sometime ago, told journalists he had no regrets handing over his church in Lokoja and Ondo State to The Lord’s Chosen. Afowosheru, a native of Owo in Ondo State, who had lived in the North for over 20 years, recalled his experience: “That night, an angel woke me up and said ‘my servant your assignment is not over.

I have just opened a new chapter for your ministry, but I want you to join the Lord’s Chosen Charismatic Ministries, the chariot of my servant Pastor Lazarus Muoka and for the Throne of Faith here in Lokoja, it will still remain my throne forever. I thought it was a joke. I had to see the church’s General Overseer, Pastor Lazarus Muoka one-on-one, and he told me to return to Lokoja and do the needful. So, I went back to Lokoja and met the state pastor of the Lord’s Chosen and handed over the documents of The Standard Throne of Faith Ministry to him. They held their first service there two weeks ago, and last Sunday, we had a combined service at the headquarters church in Lokoja.

“My coming to Lagos was to confirm that revelation I received that I should join the Lord’s chosen and also give my testimony here. One thing is that, the Throne of Faith is not a Yoruba man’s church, it is not an Igbo man’s church, neither is it an Egbira man’s church. The church belongs to the Lord, and anywhere He leads me, I will go. So, my handing over my church to the Lord’s Chosen is not because of frustration or the challenges I experienced. I am only following the Lord’s instruction in that revelation. It is because the Lord said so. Before I came to the ministry, I had multiple accidents that nearly claimed my life but God spared me. I am a building engineer by profession.

I have my company in Nasarawa State and had worked with the late governor in the state. It’s not that I don’t have something doing. When the Lord called me, I refused to hearken to His call and in that disobedience; I had multiple accidents so much so that I lost three good cars through accidents. After the last accidents, I agreed to serve the Lord. I was in the car with my in-law, when the accident occurred. Anybody who saw that car wouldn’t believe the driver came out unhurt, but my in-law died. It took lots of effort before doctors at UNTH Enugu could revive her. So, my case is like that of Jonah’s. I am a blessed soul, so I was doing well before I answered the Lord.

I also have another church in Ondo State, which I have also handed to the Lord’s Chosen. In fact, the church in Lokoja is about 50×100 plots of land, while the one in Owo local government is about four plots bigger than the Lokoja church. I am from Owo Local Government in Ondo State, and I am on a divine assignment. Now, I am an ordinary member of the Lord’s Chosen. If they say I should go back to my former profession as a building engineer, I will gladly do so. The church’s documents are not bearing my name, but the church’s name.”
