Overcoming the storms of life – Part 4

The Word of the Master “Jesus” cannot be resisted by any force or storm of life. Jesus authority is forceful, powerful, undefeatable and puts Satan in disarray anytime it is used. The Word of the Master is quick, powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword (Hebrews 4:12). Jesus woke up and rebuked the storm and said to the sea, according to Mark 4:39, “Peace, be still!” The wind died down and there was a great calm.

Life is full of battles, but our faith in the Word of God is the victory that overcometh the world. 1 John 5:4, “…. and this is the victory that overcometh the world, even our faith.” God asked a very beautiful question in Romans 8:31, what then shall we say to these things, if God be for us who can be against us? The answer is No. This scripture does not say that people will not try to rise against you. This scripture does not say that the devil will not try to fight you. This scripture does not say that the demons will not do their worst, whatever their worst may be. But this scripture says in the language, which I employ all the time, “they have failed even before they started”.

There are beautiful scriptures all over the place to encourage us while going through storms of life. Jesus Has promised that He is with us till the end of age. New Living Translation puts it this way, “And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end of the age” (Matthew 28:20). No matter how it appears as if the boat of your life will sink, if Jesus is in that boat with you, be rest assured that the boat will never and can never sink.

The Jesus in you and the Holy Spirit in you is greater than the totality of satanic forces that have been unleashed against your life. 1 John 4:4 (ESV), “Little children, you are from God and have overcome them, for he who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Jesus is greater than all satanic forces put together; in fact, there is no comparison at all. It is a matter of deep sharp contrast, you don’t compare.

There is too much fear in the world today; too many people are brought under the control of fear. I plead with you child of God, do not sell yourself to fear, you know that the Lord Has given you a beautiful spirit, it’s not the spirit of fear, it is of love, of power and of a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7). Do not be afraid of the storms but rather address them with the word of God and they shall abate.

Do not listen to the lies of devil concerning your situation making it to appear as if it will overcome you. When he makes such a statement or bring about such insinuation, you know he is lying because in John 8:44, he is not only called a liar but the father of all liars.

Jesus is mighty to save, Jesus is mighty to deliver, Jesus is mighty to set free, and Jesus is mighty to replenish. Is there any child of God today, the Holy Spirit is reminding you that no matter what you are going through, Jesus is there with you.
