The expectations of grace
The word “Grace” has been twisted out of context and sometimes, it has been greatly misunderstood. “Grace” simply means divine enablement. It is enablement that comes from the throne room in Heaven. You can call Grace empowerment from the throne room in Heaven. You can define “Grace” as support you get from the throne room in Heaven. Everything about Grace is also about God. Grace is God enabling, empowering, supporting, helping and leading you to achieve what He wants you to achieve or to be the man or woman that God wants you to be.
God Has made His grace known to all men and Apostle Paul writing to his son Titus affirmed this, when he said, “For the grace of God that brings salvation has appeared to all men.” All men are recipients of God’s Grace that has been revealed through Jesus Christ. Jesus is the Grace of God that has been revealed to all people of the earth. God, the Father speaking about Jesus, said, “This is my Son, my Chosen One; listen to Him” (Luke 9:35). Peter, also speaking about Jesus, when he was before the religious rulers, said: “there is salvation in no one else, for there is no other name under heaven given among men by which we must be saved” (Acts 4:12).
Salvation is man’s greatest need and this salvation comes from God, the Creator of Heaven and earth and the One Who sustains same by His Almightiness. This grace brings salvation from sin; salvation from satanic control and by the grace of God will break every hold of Satan upon your life. The Bible said, “For He hath broken the gates of brass, and cut the bars of iron in sunder” (Psalm 107:16).
Jesus emphasising man’s greatest said to Nicodemus in John 3:7, “You must be born again.” You cannot be saved by your education, family connections, and political connections or by whomever you think you are or by whatever achievement you think you have made. Salvation is setting you free from the yoke of Satan. Salvation is breaking all the bondage of Satan in your life and only God does it. God performs the work of salvation only through Jesus Christ, the Saviour of the world. It is only Jesus that saves and He saves to the uttermost (Hebrews 7:25).
Man on his own is completely unable to set himself free from sin. Every act of evil, every act of wickedness and everything that is difficult to comprehend is as a result of the fact that man is lost in sin. Man needs to be saved, man needs to be delivered, and man needs to be set free.
Grace and truth came by Jesus Christ. The Bible said, “For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ” (John 1:17). Grace and truth came together through the Person and ministry of Jesus. Grace is not a doctrine or teaching. Grace is a Person and Jesus Christ is Grace.
What does this Grace expects from us? Grace teaches us that we should deny ungodliness, worldly lust and we should live soberly, righteously and Godly in this present world. It expects from us not to love the world system and its ways, fashion, amusement, relationship and culture (1 John 2:15).
This Grace will empower you to live righteously and Godly in this present existence. I invite you, today, to join us and come under the banner of Grace.
Today’s Nugget: Love not the world system.
Prayer: Lord, I come under the banner of Grace.
Prayer lines: 09078154261.
