There are different types and series of books in the world. We have books addressing such areas as History, Physics, Biology, etc. The writers of these books are called Authors. The Bible should not be seen as such, because it is not an ordinary book. It’s the heart of God; the word of God, the mind of God that no human being should argue with.

Professors in the world today didn’t argue or doubted the books they read to attain their titles. The doctors did not argue with Biology textbooks, which helped them qualified as medical doctors, just like the accountant before becoming a chartered professional. So, why are you arguing with the Bible? Arguing with the Bible means you have a problem in your life. May God deliver you in Jesus name.

The message you’re about to read is from the Bible. Exodus 20:16 “THOU SHALL NOT BEAR FALSE WITNESS AGAINST THY NEIGBOUR.”

In our generation, bearing false witness has become the tradition in a country with a large percentage of churchgoer and Bible carrier, who doesn’t know God or His will. It’s a pity. False witness has spoilt our economy. People destined by God to help this nation have been discouraged and are nowhere to be found, due to false witness.

What is False? False means not in accordance with the truth or fact; not correct; not genuine; misleading; not faithful; deliberately made in order to deceive.

In the business world, businessmen refer to falsehood as wisdom. Amongst the military and security men, the falsehood is called diplomacy. The church of God that should be transparent to the sheep (i.e. the members) has also made falsehood the protocol. May God break every form of such protocol in Jesus name.

In the world today, a lot of people have become victims, people are in prison, with their identities and integrities dented through false witnesses. If you don’t want the curse of God to follow you, don’t misrepresent fact.

The Bible says thou shall not bear false witness against thy neighbour. Who is your neighbour? Your neighbour is any human being. Neighbour doesn’t mean the person you know, it doesn’t mean people from your tribe, or your race, or colour, but every human being.

In our nation, people only consider their families and friends as their neighbours. People not known to them are not considered as neighbours. You should not bear any false witness against any human being.

The security men in this country should be extra careful. The sin of bearing false witness against one’s neighbour is great in God’s presence. Anything that cannot be proven; anything that is not genuine; anything not true; should not be said or written down. If said or written down, the devil will hold it against you and you will be punished by God.

People are faced with challenges, problems, sicknesses and diseases today. They go before God in prayer, but their prayers are not answered because they have made false witnesses against their fellow human beings. Many individuals are in prison today, not because of any crime, but because their neighbour bore false witnesses against them. This is a wicked act.

Stop bearing false witness against one another. It’s against God’s Commandment. Anyone that disobeys this commandment will not go unpunished. Proverbs 19:5,9 says, “A false witness shall not be unpunished, and he that speaketh lies shall perish.” Whatever you want to say must be the truth. It shall be well with your soul in Jesus name.
