It is with a sense of privilege and gratitude to God that I warmly welcome everyone to this annual event of the National Youth Fellowship of our dear church. On behalf of the leadership of the National Youth Fellowship, I would like to first appreciate God for His innumerable goodness and unquantifiable faithfulness and mercy to the Youth Ministry of this great denomination. By His help alone, this Youth Ministry has made and continues to make tangible kingdom impacts among men.

In the same breath, we express our deep gratitude to our father, the Chairman of Conference for the constant support and cooperation that the National Youth Fellowship has received so far; of his piloting the affairs of the church denomination. We also bless God for the innovations he has brought to bear, including the maiden National Convention at Ibeju-Lekki holding in about six week from now. May God’s wisdom continue with him, as he pilots God’s business to enviable heights. Amen. We must also acknowledge the benevolent scholarship support received from our dear COC at our National Camp in Gboko, Benue State two years ago. Thank you, Sir.

Our appreciation also goes to Superintendents and other Church leaders, who have supported the Youth Ministries under them one way or another. God bless you, even as you continue so to do.

This Retreat
The National Leadership retreat is an annual gathering of Youth Leaders of United Evangelical Church (Founded as Qua Iboe Church), where heaven sharpens our leadership skills and focus, while also addressing issues that make for effective leadership for life and godliness, all in a bid to adequately position us for the Lord’s business, as well as productive, reliable leadership in the larger UEC. That is why this retreat is important to us.

The theme for this year’s retreat is Kingdom Lifestyle in Abundance of Rain, and has been coined to reflect the direction of the Conference for 2020. We are persuaded that surely, the rain will come abundantly. While we position ourselves for the rain, we have come here that God’s Spirit will focus us on the lifestyle that heaven expects us to live in this time of abundance, such lifestyle that will cause the rain not to evaporate but be retained and sustained. Having besought the Lord, we believe that the Holy Spirit shall thoroughly deal with us in accordance with His will.
Finally

We pray that God’s abundant mercy that brought you here safely will also be your portion, as you return to your various destinations. We also pray God that abundance of rain shall be an experience of everyone in Jesus’ name. Amen.
Once again, thank you and welcome!!!
