What God has determined, shall be done -Part 1

Beloved, like in a relay race, it is clear that the old year has come to an end and will be handing the baton over to the New Year. In this kind of race, there is no losing of baton, for it is designed to be a smooth pass, until Jesus comes. Just as it was in all such races, the year 2018 will accordingly be collecting the baton of political and economic uncertainty from 2017. But nobody is to be blamed for the uncertainty, because everything in this world is designed and dictated by His providence of which man has nothing to contribute, because it is what God has determined that shall be done.

He determined to make a world, and He made it. He determined to create man, and He created him. He determined to deliver His people from the hand of Egyptian taskmasters, and He delivered them. Red Sea could not stop Him, neither Pharaoh nor his Soldiers nor could the Wall of Jericho stand against God Almighty’s determination. He determined that at a certain period, God would be manifested in the flesh and it was so, that He would taste death for every man, and it was as He determined it. He determined that the Gospel would be preached to all nations and behold, it will surely come to fulfilment. So, the emergence of Year 2018 was His approval and everything we are going to witness in it has all been determined and destined by God Almighty. Ps 33: 11 says, “The counsel of the LORD standeth for ever, the thoughts of his heart to all generations.”

God’s purpose and decree cannot be frustrated, or His designs unaccomplished. He has predestination according to the counsel of His will, and none of the devices of His foes can frustrate His decree even for a moment. Men’s purposes could be blown to and fro like the thread of delicate wool, but God’s divine purposes are firmer than the earth. His purpose for all generation stands as determined. Men come and go, sons follow suit to the grave, but the undisturbed mind of God moves on in an unbroken serenity, producing ordained results with unerring certainty. Nobody’s will or plan is expected to be carried out from age to age because the wisdom of one age may be the folly of another, but the Lord’s wisdom is always wise, and His purposeful designs run on from century to century. Surely, His power to fulfil His purposes is by no means diminished by the lapse of years.

That God allows the wicked to exist does not imply weakness on His part. That He allows the economic situation or our current political leaders is still to achieve His determined purposes. The wheels in a clock move contrary one to another, yet all serve the intent of the workman, to show the time. So, in the world, when the providence of God by our own calculation seems to run contrary to His promises, it is all according to His predetermined intent. If one man takes this way, and another runs that way, it is all to accomplish God’s will and purpose.

God has no partner. His designs are His own. They are formed in His infinite wisdom, and none can turn His determinations aside. He designs everyone’s happiness or sadness, and none can prevent its accomplishment. I don’t know what the enemy has planned against you in this forthcoming year, neither do I want to know the powers behind their machination, but what I know and is sure of, is that none of their devices will be fruitful, except the Lord determines it. If you are on God’s side, be assured that in the year 2018, He has determined peace and deliverance for you.

Jer 29:11 says: “For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.”God’s love is steadfast toward His chosen people and He has determined to perform His good work and promises, when they amend their ways with Him.
