Text: John 17:9-16
Key Verse: John 17:16, “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.” (NKJV)

When we did some British and European history some years ago, they taught us about the Lord of the Manor in Britain. Manor means land, property or estate. The Lord of the Manor owns all the land, and everybody staying on the land is a tenant to the Lord of the Manor. He gives you where to farm and when you finish farming and harvesting your farm produce, the Lord of the Manor has his own portion. If he doesn’t give you land to farm, you don’t farm; if he allows you to farm, you will and you will know what percentage you are going to give him, because he is in charge of everything. When you say Jesus is the Lord of your life, you mean that you have surrendered yourself totally to Him.

I am interested that you should understand that Jesus will own you completely. Jesus owns you; He is your Lord and He is the owner of your life. It is no longer about you, but Christ who lives in you. You don’t lift your hand without His permission; you don’t lift your foot without His permission; You don’t go where He does not permit you to go; you don’t relate with people He does not want you to relate with and you don’t sit where He does not want you to sit because you are completely owned by Him and He Has taken over your life completely. Jesus prayed for His disciples before He went to the Garden of Gethsemane to face the cross and He said, “They are not of the world, just as I am not of the world.”

The world in which we live is dominated by satanic philosophy, which is diametrically opposed to all that God stands for.

When you give your life to Christ, you become a disciple of Jesus and you become a follower of Jesus, so you follow Him. When you are a disciple of Jesus, you follow His teachings, and you don’t develop your own teaching. It is only the teachings of Jesus that matter to you. Any day you begin to develop your own teaching, you are no longer a disciple, you are no longer a follower and you have become a master. When you become a master, you are no longer under Jesus and you are a master unto yourself. If Jesus is the master and owner of your life, then Jesus is in complete control of your life. He is in charge; He directs and everything comes under Him. It is not a matter of what do I want, but what does Jesus want. Wherever you may be, if you are a young man, what does Jesus want? If you are a young lady, what does Jesus want? If you are a husband, what does Jesus want? If you are a wife, what does Jesus want? If you are a child, what does Jesus want? If you are a parent, what does Jesus want? If you are the boss in the office, what does Jesus want and if you are the Tea Boy or the messenger or whatever you are in the office, you will ask yourself, what does Jesus want?

If you are a child of God, you are a special person, and it is all about Jesus. You will be asking yourself, what does Jesus want and not what do I want? You do not come up anymore, it is over and it is now a total submission to Jesus.

Today’s Nugget: It is all about Jesus.
Prayer: Jesus, I submit myself to You totally.
