Kikelomo Oladele, since her debut album release in 2020, has remained unwavering in her mission to deliver God’s message through her music. Her distinctive cultural identity shines through her artistry, skillfully incorporating elements of Yoruba symbolism into her work.

Recognizing the need for more individuals to serve the kingdom through music, Oladele has unveiled her plan to establish a Creative Arts Academy for children and teenagers in 2024. The academy’s primary objective is to nurture the gifts of young people, channeling their talents and passions towards positive pursuits.

In an exclusive interview, Oladele shared her vision for the academy, emphasizing the importance of guiding young minds early. “We are planning to establish a Creative Arts Academy in 2024, which will harness the gifts of children and help focus them positively. Whether it’s singing, dancing, graphics, social media art, composing, instrumentation, or production, we should guide them from a young age so they discover their true selves and the significance of their gifts,” she revealed.

Oladele’s academy also aims to address the identity crisis that many young people face, which often leads to negative outcomes. She believes that by guiding them early, they can gain a clear understanding of their identity and the value of their talents.

Reflecting on her ministry journey, Oladele acknowledged the pivotal role played by Bishop Taiwo Adelakun of Victory International Church, where she has been a member of the Victory Voices Choir for over 15 years. She learned the disciplines and ethics of ministry under the guidance of her spiritual parents, Bishop Adelakun and Pastor Mrs Dolapo Adelakun.

2020 marked a significant year for Oladele, as she released a slew of songs she had been composing over the years. The song “Open Wide” symbolized a declaration that COVID-19 would not overpower the world, and people would regain their freedom. Her vision for the SEEK NOWW Concert, an annual event showcasing gospel music and arts, also came to life that year.

Despite her successes, Oladele faced the challenge of finding individuals who would share her vision of spreading the knowledge of God’s glory worldwide. She overcame various obstacles and critics, learning not to give up on her divine calling.

In her early days, Oladele faced resistance from her biological parents who couldn’t comprehend her calling. However, they eventually became strong supporters of her ministry after joining the church.

Oladele’s songs convey messages of hope and God’s love for Nigerians, especially during these challenging times in the country. She encourages people not to complain but to declare what they wish to see and experience in Nigeria.
