Living the victorious Christian life

Related

The life of a child of God is a life of power. Jesus has not called us to live a passive and powerless life in this world, but a life of purpose and power, which will radiate the glory of God. Unfortunately, today, many Christians are living far below the level God has purposed for them. Ephesians 3:20 is very clear about the power of the Christian life. There is a power that is at work within us. The world may not see it, but the power is at work within us. They might not understand it, but there is a power that is at work within us. It is the power of the Holy Spirit; the greatest power, wonder working power, the victorious living power. The Christian is expected to live a victorious life. But today, many are still operating under the power of sin, Satan and shame. Many are just wobbling, fumbling, struggling and faking it. May you receive divine empowerment to be victorious. Amen.

• Why Some Christians Are Not Living A Victorious Life?
There are many reasons why some Christians are not living the victorious Christian life. Some of the reasons are:
(1.) Ignorance – To be uninformed is to be deformed.
(2.) Lack of proper understanding – Some know that it is real, but they do not know how to get it.
(3.) Unbelief – Some do not believe they can live a victorious Christian life. But the devil does not respect the religious Christian, he only fears the victorious Christian.

• Biblical Basis For A Victorious Life
There are lots of passages in the Bible that prove to us that the Christian life is not dull, passive or a misadventure. It is full of glorious and victorious adventure. Some of the passages are listed below.
(1.) 1 John 4:4-5 speaks of overcoming the world, not about victory in heaven, but here on earth.
(2.) John 10:10 speaks of life in abundance.
(3.) Romans 6:14 says sin shall not be your master.
(4.) 2 Cor. 2:14 says God always causes us to triumph in Christ.
(5.) Romans 8:37 – We are more than conquerors through Him that loved us. The key here is our relationship with Jesus Christ Who has overcome the world (John 16:33) to whom God has given all power in heaven and on earth. (Matt. 28:18) Have you truly given your life to Jesus? Have you identified with His death on the cross and with His life in glory? Then you can live a victorious Christian life.

• Matrices Of A Victorious Christian Life
If you want to live a victorious Christian life:
(1.) You must believe it – The just shall live by faith (Rom. 1: 17)
(2.) You must be separated for it (Rom. 8: 12-13) Holiness is non- negotiable for a victorious life. You cannot be doing what the people of the world are doing and expect victory over them.
(3.) You must pray it (Rom. 8: 26-27) Prayer is a strong conduit for receiving God’s power; it is a spiritual generator. Take prayer seriously.
(4.) Depend on the Holy Spirit for it- (Romans 8:14-16). He alone can empower you to be victorious over the forces that are fighting against your life.

Conclusion
Will you consider yourself a powerful Christian or a powerless one? A victorious one or a victimised one? A praying Christian or a playing Christian? It is time to rise up and begin to live the victorious Christian life. The devil knows that there is a power that is meant to be at work in us. (Eph. 3:20b) May we demonstrate and manifest that power to put him and his agents to shame. If you have not given your life to Jesus, do so today to receive this power that is at work in the life of a child of God. Delay might be dangerous. Come to Jesus now. Shalom.
