Pupils, teachers and management of Marymount School, Lekki rounded off the year on a festive note, as they recently held a Christmas concert in the school premises. Parents, friends and well-wishers graced the event. The children also took a trip to the Santa’s Grotto.

The concert titled: “Grandma’s Christmas Tale,” depicted the Christmas scene of over 2000 years ago, when the Lord Jesus Christ was born in a stable. The children were at their best, as they put up a brilliant performance to the delight of parents and other guests.

The School Principal, Mrs. Naseem Sen, said the real spirit of Christmas is not about what we have, but who we are, as every one of us is a child of God.

In her speech, the Director, Mrs. Olajumoke Dare, explained that the best present for Christmas is that of a happy family wrapped around a Christmas tree.

The excited children later paid a visit to the Santa Grotto. The trip was a thrilling one for the children, who received lots of gifts from the Santa. They were equally thrilled to see Rudolph the Reindeer.
