Power with God is not a child’s play or just a wishful thing, it is not believe and receive or claim it kind of a thing. It is not what you get in public places, watching games or football but it is what you get when you are alone with God. The Bible says, And Jacob was left alone (Genesis 32:24a)

To get power with God, you must separate yourself to God to be alone with Him. You must separate yourself from every issues of life for a season to seek God.

Jesus as our example –
And when he had sent the multitudes away, he went up into a mountain apart to pray: and when the evening was come, he was there alone (Matthew 14:23).

Apostle Paul in his letters to the Galatians appeal to them to trust and serve God, he said, “immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood’, he spent three years to seek God until he came out in power. Whatever makes you unacceptable to God makes you unusable by God.

But when it pleased God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me by his grace,
To reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the heathen; immediately I conferred not with flesh and blood:
Neither went I up to Jerusalem to them, which were apostles before me; but I went into Arabia, and returned again unto Damascus.

Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to see Peter, and abode with him fifteen days (Galatians 1:15-18)

We must yield ourselves to God and stop making noise around. Jesus went further from His disciples alone before the angel came and strengthened Him; learn to be alone.

Then cometh Jesus with them unto a place called Gethsemane, and saith unto the disciples, Sit ye here, while I go and pray yonder (Matthew 26:36).

There are too many popular Christians without power, empty and making noise; they have a form of godliness but nothing near the power of God.

Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away (2 Timothy 3:5)

Daily life and its vicissitudes place a lot of demand on us: pressure from everywhere. Life challenges makes spending time with God absolutely necessary if you will prevail. Also, the same challenges that should push us to God for divine help and strength often pushes us away to irrelevances and place of no help, which will drain us of God’s power. The separated life gives us an acceptance with God; it is the seal of sonship.

We must do things that make us acceptable to God. We must be mindful of God and His covenant.
No man that warreth entangleth himself with the affairs of this life; that he may please him who hath chosen him to be a soldier.

And if a man also strive for masteries, yet is he not crowned, except he strive lawfully (2 Timothy 2:4-5).

That is why in the letter to the Corinthians Church, we are encouraged to be separate.

Wherefore come out from among them, and be ye separate, saith the Lord, and touch not the unclean thing; and I will receive you,
And will be a Father unto you, and ye shall be my sons and daughters, saith the Lord Almighty (2 Corinthians 6:17-18).

To have power with God, to have dominion on earth and over all that God has given us to rule, we must be separate and consecrate ourselves to God.

For Moses had said, Consecrate yourselves to day to the LORD, even every man upon his son, and upon his brother; that he may bestow upon you a blessing this day (Exodus 32:39).

If we do, God will rain His power and blessings upon us.
