Singer, Sharpboy set to drop first EP


Afro pop singer, song writer and lyricist, Olayemi Lekan Sunday, popularly known by his stage name, Sharpboy Paipa, who recently got signed to Sharpboy Entertainment, a record label brand based in Lagos, has announced plan to drop his first official EP.


The artiste also add that he is currently working hard in the studio to excite fans with his latest work.


The singer, who hailed from Oyo State, stated that he has been working tirelessly in the studio to satisfy the cravings of his ever-growing fanbase.

Sharpboy Paipa, who recently dropped a smashing hit single titled, ‘Nice and Juicy’, said music to some people is an enabler of leisure; something to help enjoy the moments of life. He said it is equally a powerful tool for social change and an instrument for both mental and emotional healing.

With his fascinating ideologies, Sharpboy believes that music also goes beyond entertainment and should be used as a tool to influence, educate or inspire people.


The artiste, who stated that he got his inspiration from life and the daily occurrences around him, started his musical journey as a result of his huge love for Afrobeats as a young man trying to make ends meet.

“For me, music is a means to communicate my feelings and thoughts. I wrote my first song in 2016, after repeated prompts from close friends and acquaintances, I decided to try making music,” he said.


Over the years, Sharpboy has gone on to develop his own unique style and has dropped several songs which gave him massive recognition.

There is an undoubted air of anticipation surrounding his music and it is certain that the world will be moved by his sound in due time.
