The building and pulling down of strongholds – Part 2

Text: 2 Corinthians 10:3-5

Maybe you’ve found yourself in a similar stronghold today, supervised by the gates of hell and you have no idea of how to get loose and be set free. The one who has the key of the gate is right here with us. I will let Him introduce Himself: Revelation 1:18, “I am he that liveth, and was dead; and, behold, I am alive for evermore, Amen; and have the keys of hell and of death.”

He is the One that speaks to stronghold in people’s lives. Once has He spoken, twice have I heard that power belongs to God! (Psalms 62:11). Are you held by the stronghold of sin, sickness and unbelief translated into one form of addiction, affliction or negative mindset? And the gateway to your life is secured by the powers of darkness? Here’s the word that break loose the stronghold of Satan upon people’s lives: Psalms 24:7-10: “Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord strong and mighty, the Lord mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The Lord of hosts, he is the King of glory.”

In His name we are “casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ:” (2 Cor. 10:5)

As a man thinks in his heart so is he, the scripture say If you have become a victim of fear and evil imagination, arising from negative thoughts, The Lord will set you free today in Jesus’ name.

These were the strongholds in the lives of a number of people in the scripture. Man sick of palsy in Mark 2:5: “When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, son, thy sins be forgiven thee.”

They saw sickness, but Jesus saw the stronghold of sin. I declare that every Satanic stronghold presenting itself in all manner of diverse ways in your life today be pulled down in Jesus name. The man by the pool of Bethesda in John 5:5-7 “… had an infirmity thirty and eight years. When Jesus saw him lie, and knew that he had been now a long time in that case, he saith unto him, ‘Wilt thou be made whole?” The impotent man answered him, “Sir, I have no man, when the water is troubled to put me into the pool: but while I am coming, another steppeth down before me.”

The stronghold here was the sole reliance of hope and trust in man! Today, I declare, every area where men have failed you, The Lord will step in to help you in Jesus’ name.

Unbelief is another stronghold in people’s lives. This was exemplified in Jesus’ experience in Mark 6, when He “… came into His own country; and His disciples follow Him.” Mark 6:5-6 recorded that” …He could there do no mighty work, save that He laid His hands upon a few sick folk and healed them. And He marvelled because of their unbelief. And He went round about the villages, teaching.” Matthew 13:58 clarifies that episode: “And He did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief.” The stronghold of unbelief is the bane of many Christians in church today!
