Text: Proverbs 14:34

Righteousness exalts a nation, families and individuals; whereas, sin is a reproach. Righteousness means having a right standing with God. A stand that is devoid of any trace of sin. It is the only righteousness that has all it takes to exalt a man. Bribery and corruption bring down an individual and a nation. True riches and wealth are hidden in righteousness.

Corruption has eaten deep into the fabrics of our society such that lives are wasted as a result of it. Take, for instance, the health system in Nigeria with the huge sums of money voted into the system, government hospitals still remain without adequate healthcare facilities. The system is compromised because of corruption. There is no righteousness that will bring about total change to the system, except we allow it to begin with us.

Having been with God for these 20 days, fasting and praying, it is believed we are fortified and prepared to effect changes wherever we find ourselves. The Lord has impacted on us the righteousness needed to change our world. Only righteousness can exalt a nation, while sin is a reproach to any people. The Lord took out time to equip participants during this programme by giving them a new garment of holiness — a license to live holy.

This victory that restored man to God through righteousness, must be preserved. There must be a definite resolution to stand right with God in order to conserve the benefits. This will facilitate a believer to keep and appropriate the gains of this programme. The fight for this victory is so fierce and must be sustained at all times. The altar of God has been defiled by false preachers and pastors such that we have to fight them out of the altar to restore the righteousness of God.

This is the time to fight and stamp out sin from the earth. It is the preaching of the gospel through the righteousness that will eventually bring the expected righteousness to the world of sinners. We, as believers, should not bring reproach to the church, to our families and society. Our thrust should be to promote things that make for righteousness by striving to preserve the word of God through righteousness.

Those who are leaders and General Overseers of churches across the country and the world at large, who promote unrighteousness and evil at the altar of God, will not be spared. Their end has come! The Lord is unhappy with them. The judgment of God is upon their lives and families. All preachers of wealth without purity; all preachers of corruption are under God’s judgment; they must not escape the judgment of God today.

The “Attaliah” and Jezebels who pollute the House of God with their whoredom and corruption will be devoured by God’s sword. It is time for those who are not called by God to steer clear of the Lord’s business.

God’s business is an urgent one for the determined, who will make their way right with God.
