Telecoms giant, Globacom has sent felicitations to Nigerian Christians on the occasion of this year’s Easter celebrations. In a statement to commemorate the occasion, the telecommunications company encouraged the Christian faithful to be sober and circumspect as they celebrate the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ.

Globacom urged Christians to use the occasion to remind themselves of the core essence of Easter which included “love and sacrifice,” adding that Christians should use this period to further reflect deeply on the sacrifice that Jesus Christ made on the Cross, and engage in acts of sacrifice, peace and love for one another during this season and beyond.

While urging Christians to pray for the peace and unity of Nigeria, the company enjoined them to exemplify the teachings of Jesus Christ, which emphasise peace for mankind. In the spirit of the season, they pledged to continue to provide quality service at competitive rates throughout this period and afterwards, assuring subscribers of seamless communications experience during and after the festive season.

They also urged its subscribers to “spread the good news of Christ’s resurrection through the network” by making calls and sending messages to loved ones.
