What are the motivations behind the face of Petite?
The motivations behind face of petite Nigeria beauty pageant is to give the petite /short women a voice and chance to showcase their talents through this platform as we are a unique pageant and the first of its kind here in Nigeria And also setting a standard for all our contestants by impacting knowledge and confidence they need to achieve their dreams and vision after the pageant in their life ambitions.
There are a handful of pageants in Nigeria, what are the niche that FOP offer?
Face of petite Nigeria beauty pageant is a very unique and different pageant because we are the first and only petite pageant in in the whole of Nigeria which is also affiliated with an international body, Miss Universal Petite in Florida USA and Miss Glow Petite in Venezuela
This year’s edition has as its theme, “Pride of Womanhood,” what informed theme?
the theme pride of womanhood was chosen to inspire everywoman in Nigeria and the world at large that your size or height is not a limitation or barrier to getting to your peak u can still make things happen regardless how short or tall one might be.

How do you think events such as FOP and others can be used to raise the sort of leverage given to the woman in public places, especially in decision-making capacity?
firstly, face of petite Nigeria queens during the one-year period are being trained to be women of confidence who can speak and express themselves comfortably by initiating pet projects which put them out there and get them to affect their community, states, and country positively through trainings, documentaries with the support of their state governments and private bodies to touch the lives of the less privileged.
Since you started FOP, what’s reception like? What are the challenges you faced at the inception?
the reception we have gotten from face of petite Nigeria has been great due to the fact that a lot of petite women have been waiting for such a platform. The challenges being faced basically has been financial support as most companies rather give our product than sponsor financially due to the fact that there are so many pageants now and it’s really hard to tell the genuine ones or the fake so the financial support has been really down.
Quite a few pageants, in the past year, have attracted media attention for the wrong reason, including biased selections of winners and allegations of organisers not fulfilling their pledges to winners. What mechanism have you put in place to ensure yours does not witness same problems?
firstly we make sure we do not go beyond what we can offer to the winners we only put up or give out what we can afford as a company .we put it more of our focus on the grooming ,growth and education of our contestants so that after the pageant they have something to look back at as an achievement whether they get to win or not.
What are the benefits that the winner of this year’s FOP stand to gain?
the benefits for the winner of face of petite Nigeria beauty pageant this year would be to represent Nigeria in the forth coming miss universal petite in USA ,Becomes brand ambassador for 3cf foundation,1 year modeling contract and 1 year free hair due from hairtalksbyray as well as cash prize.
