
To promote good hygiene and healthy nutrition amongst children, Motherhood NG initiative through its Project Hope for Children, celebrated children in five communities.
The event which is in its second edition, held simultaneously in Iwaya community, Lagos state, Durumi Internally Displaced Persons (IDP) camp, Abuja; Imafo community Akure, Ondo state and Oluyole, Ibadan in Oyo state.
In all, over 3000 children were impacted and provided with nutritional kits, medical care, guidance, counseling and entertainment. According to the coordinator of the initiative, Abiodun Alabi the purpose of the project is to encourage and promote good hygiene and healthy nutrition among children in rural and underserved communities, which will in turn have a positive impact on their personal well being, self-esteem and self-worth. She also added that the success of the celebration is attributed to the collective effort of sponsors and selfless volunteers.
